GENERAL SUMMARY:
Position is the main focal point of the department and takes direction from the area manager. The purpose of this position is to manage the day to day activities of the respective departments and to plan, organize, direct and control the operation of the department so that it performs efficiently and effectively.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years experience in a manufacturing industry, supervisory experience, and AA degree in a related discipline required. BS degree in engineering preferred. Preference given to individuals trained in Lean Manufacturing and 6-Sigma.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand and walk within the manufacturing facility. Ability to communicate, write, type, use and operate office and department/s equipment. Ability to exert up to seventy-five pounds of force to move objects. Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
