Job summary

FMC Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to manage the production plan and detailed work center schedules ensuring on-time delivery while optimizing inventory and resources.

You will release job orders, coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing, and maintain dispatch reports in a fast-paced environment. The role requires experience in manufacturing planning, ERP/MRP systems, advanced Excel, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of manufacturing planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate Word and SharePoint skills.
• Excellent communication at all levels.
• Minimum 2 years of production/manufacturing experience.
• Self-starter with independent work capability.
• Advanced SAP (or similar) knowledge for warehouse/production.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Problem identification and timely resolution focus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a valid production plan and detailed work center schedule to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory and resources.
• Release manufacturing job orders and subcontract orders; maintain dispatch reports.
• Develop detailed schedules and communicate with suppliers, warehouse, manufacturing, and customer service.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing and suppliers to resolve production quality issues and discrepancies.
• Monitor closed order variances and document the reasons for variance.
• Identify constraints and ensure planning system reflects changes; maintain data integrity.
• Adhere to QAPs related to planning, purchasing, master data, WOs, ECNs.
