Socket.dev is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Minnesota to support the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes. You will work with engineers and production teams to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production of products.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, analyzing processes, applying lean principles, developing SOPs, calibrating equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of safety and quality standards in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Support engineers in analyzing production processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles under the guidance of engineers to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure the manufacturability of new products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic manufacturing issues.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow.
• Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Recommend or assist in designing tools and equipment needed for production based on engineering specifications.
• Perform routine calibration of manufacturing equipment.
• Other tasks as needed by Manager.
