Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Operations Engineering Specialist for a 2nd shift role at a Gas Power Manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC. You will support daily manufacturing processes, assist with new processes, and work with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

The position requires a 2-year technical degree or 7–10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, strong ability to interpret drawings and GD&T, and willingness to obtain CWI certification for welding

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Welding experience with CWI preferred or willingness to obtain CWI certification.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
• Experience with fixtures and tooling and collaboration with Tool Designers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and drive for continuous improvement.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing processes to keep operations at peak performance.
• Assist Operations Engineers with new manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Collaborate to identify improvements for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• May lead small projects with low risk and resources.
• Build rapport with Operations and Leadership teams to resolve issues.
• Communicate needs for new tooling from concept to completion.
• Monitor production flow and update orders for standard rework, document changes.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings on the shop floor.
• Work on-site in office and manufacturing environments as needed.
• Inform team of potential risks needing support.
