Job summary

GE Vernova's Gas Power Manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC is seeking an Operations Engineering Specialist to support daily manufacturing processes and improve safety, quality, and efficiency on the 2nd shift. You will apply technical knowledge to optimize production flow and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You will work with Operations Engineers and Tool Designers to implement new processes, document changes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 7–10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Welding experience preferred with CWI certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
• 2nd shift: 2pm–10:30pm with potential overtime.
• Background check and drug screen required; U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing processes to peak performance.
• Assist Operations Engineers with new manufacturing processes.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement; implement safer, higher quality, lower cost solutions.
• Lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with Tool Designers and Operations Engineers on tooling needs.
• Document modifications to maintain manufacturing integrity.
• Inform all levels about potential risks and escalation paths.
