Job summary

Holland Sharpe Inc. is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Process Optimization Engineer to champion smarter, faster production on the shop floor in Parsons, Tennessee.

You’ll start by reviewing KPIs, then redesign cell layouts in CAD/CAM and tune tooling, before tackling recurring defects with root-cause methods and updating automation parameters. You’ll lead cross-functional execution, deploy Lean/Six Sigma, and optimize PLCs, robotics, CNCs, and vision systems to elevate throughput and quality

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Proven track record in industrial/manufacturing process improvement.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools for layout and tooling optimization.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, CNC, and vision systems.
• Strong data analysis and root cause problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturability constraints.
• Project management and cross-functional leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and refine manufacturing processes with CAD to produce efficient line layouts and tooling.
• Own project schedules and coordinate cross-functional execution for process improvements and product introductions.
• Lead root cause investigations on production issues and apply disciplined troubleshooting to eliminate defects.
• Program and sustain automation assets—PLCs, robots, CNCs, and vision inspection systems.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste, increase throughput, and improve quality.
• Collaborate with operations on assembly line configuration, fabrication, welding, and plastics molding activities.
• Analyze engineering data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement while ensuring GD&T compliance.
