Job summary

Custom Processing Services Inc. in Reading, PA, is seeking a Building 2 Process Engineer to analyze, design, and optimize production processes that improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

You will collaborate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance to drive continuous improvement and meet plant goals. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, strong knowledge of process design and control, proficiency with data analysis tools, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Industrial Engineering required.
• Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and control.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel, SPC).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and ensure integration into operations.
• Collaborate with EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Planning, and Engineering to deliver manufacturing plans.
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations or quality issues.
• Monitor key process parameters and generate reports for plant leadership.
• Support commissioning of new equipment and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
