Job summary

Custom Processing Services, Inc. is seeking a Building 3 Process Engineer to analyze, design, and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

You will collaborate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance to drive continuous improvement in a cGMP environment and support the plant’s operational goals in Reading. You will develop and implement new or modified processes and equipment, lead root cause analysis, monitor key metrics, and ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience with cGMP bottling lines or extraction equipment is a plus.
• Champion CPS Core Values and strong process design knowledge.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, SPC).
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge; problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory standards are met.
• Develop and optimize production processes for efficiency and quality.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for deviations.
• Prepare batch records and maintain templates for products.
• Monitor KPIs, track performance, and generate reports.
• Collaborate with maintenance, QA, EHS, planning and technical teams.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and validation of equipment.
• Train production staff and develop training tools.
