Job summary

Manpower in Spring Lake, MI is seeking a proactive supervisor to join the manufacturing team on the 1st shift. You will lead scrap reduction efforts, drive process improvements, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.

The role requires at least 3 years of manufacturing experience, strong leadership and problem-solving, and a degree in a manufacturing-related field. Paid training and full-time hours are provided in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a supervisor role.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing field.

Responsibilities

• Lead scrap reduction and corrective action activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Conduct time studies and analyze labor performance.
• Coordinate, prioritize, and provide direction to setup technicians.
• Troubleshoot production, process, and quality issues.
• Order and manage production supplies and materials.
• Monitor and communicate key manufacturing performance metrics.
• Support production scheduling and daily operations.
• Provide supervisor coverage during vacations and other absences.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
