Job summary

MAHLE is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering/Continuous Improvement Leader in Murfreesboro, TN. The role focuses on leading lean initiatives, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration to boost productivity, quality, and overall plant performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
5+ years of automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience in development, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes.
Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
Basic PLC programming knowledge required (Allen Bradley, Siemens); robot programming experience preferred (Fanuc, Kuka).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
Strong knowledge of machine vision systems (Keyence, Cognex).
Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools including JIT, OEE, Kaizen, line sequencing.

Responsibilities

Lead small groups focused on continuous improvements and provide technical expertise solving process problems.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Process Planning to achieve objectives.
Troubleshoot equipment and defects; implement corrective actions quickly.
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production standards.
Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and improve productivity and OEE.
Develop PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, and Standardized Work documentation.
Coordinate equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and capability studies.
Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
