Job summary

Key People is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at its state-of-the-art wood door production facility in Wisconsin. This hands-on role reports to the Automation Engineering Manager and collaborates with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Engineering to solve day-to-day manufacturing issues.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 3+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer in a custom assembly operation.
• Strong leadership abilities for an independent role coordinating with teams.
• Excellent communication across all staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to improve daily performance.
• Drive process improvements to meet KPIs and reduce waste.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure implementation and sustainment.
• Maintain floor presence and resolve day-to-day process issues with operators and supervisors.
• Coordinate design, development and validation of manufacturing processes.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and track metrics in collaboration with Production Teams.
