Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support the Anderson manufacturing plant. You will drive continuous improvement, implement lean methods, and improve safety, quality, and efficiency in work processes.

The role includes time studies, SOPs, standard work, and hands‑on tasks like designing carts, racks, and fixtures to optimize operations. You will report to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisors and collaborate with Safety, Design Engineering, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong ability to write technical documentation such as SOPs.
• Solid modeling/CAD proficiency (viewing/manipulating drawings).
• Experience using MRP, PLM, or Enterprise systems in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Solid foundation in 5S, lean manufacturing, and other SPC quality tools.
• Strong communication skills across levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Safety and Health departments to set up production areas and provide tooling and fixtures.
• Implement and sustain new manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to support DFM and track large project milestones for production integration.
• Support Manufacturing Engineers with new equipment specification and CAR creation.
• Modify CAD drawings and provide engineering support.
• Analyze quality issues and provide corrective solutions.
• Lead lean initiatives and drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Lead safety training and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Manage small projects and coordinate teams; develop documentation systems for process control and quality.
• Identify root causes of manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
