Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Manufacturing Support Engineer to provide technical and operational support for Anderson, SC manufacturing operations. You will work closely with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance teams to improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and quality control.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement: continuously evaluate processes to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Production Planning: develop and maintain production schedules and optimize resource use.
• Equipment Maintenance and Optimization: oversee maintenance, calibration, and optimization of equipment.
• Quality Assurance: establish and enforce QC measures and conduct inspections and tests.
• Cost Management: analyze costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): collaborate with design teams for manufacturability input.
• Process Documentation: maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Training and Support: train production personnel on new processes and procedures.
• Problem Solving: investigate and resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Safety and Compliance: ensure EHS compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with design, supply chain, and QA teams.
• Project Management: lead or participate in manufacturing projects with timelines and budgets.
• Continuous Improvement: promote lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Supplier Management: coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery and quality assurance.
