Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Waxahachie, TX plant. The role focuses on leading process improvement, process control, and safety initiatives to ensure product quality and efficiency on site.

The engineer will drive CAPEX-related improvements and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to meet cost and capability targets. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in TPM, Six Sigma and Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Improvement and Process Control activities and projects.
• Work with a safety mindset to eliminate process variation and instability.
• Conduct process audits to review CPCs and CPVs.
• Evaluate and improve process capability (Cpk).
• Develop and implement Operator Control Plans to meet specifications at lowest cost.
• Identify and eliminate causes of product and process losses.
• Partner with S&T and TPM resources for process improvements.
