Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 12 Months Contract (Extendable) in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on fastening systems, torque applications, and assembly process improvements to ensure joint integrity and product quality.

You will work with Manufacturing, Quality, Production, Test and Design teams to optimize torque specifications, troubleshoot issues, and implement automated torque solutions in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field.
• 4–10 years in mechanical assembly, fastening systems, torque or industrial manufacturing.
• Hands-on in developing or validating torque specifications and fastening processes.
• Experience troubleshootin g defects, fastener failures, and torque-related quality issues.
• Experience with industrial torque tools and assembly process development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for mechanical assembly processes and fastening systems.
• Develop and validate torque specifications to ensure joint integrity.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Production and Design teams to drive improvements.
• Implement automated torque solutions and support root cause investigations.
