Job summary

LISI Aerospace North America seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to maximize efficiency by analyzing equipment layouts, workflow, and assembly methods in our Torrance facility. You will coordinate launches for new or revised products and ensure alignment with product specifications and ISO/HSE standards.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, CAD proficiency, and strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• 1–3 engineering experience in manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of engineering applications
• Proficient in Computer aided design (CAD)

Responsibilities

• Assist in researching, designing and developing manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
• Coordinate and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
• Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new or revised products including goals, training, and evaluating results.
• Analyze tools, machinery and equipment for cost-justification of manufacturing methods.
• Identify parts and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals per product specifications.
• Perform tool design (fixtures) using CAD applications.
• Re-engineer existing parts for improved manufacturability.
• Identify and troubleshoot tools in manufacturing to improve quality and tool life.
