Job summary

LISI Aerospace North America seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods and processes. You will coordinate product releases with the engineering team and drive cost reductions while ensuring quality and safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of production flow, equipment, tooling, and quality control, with experience in 5S, Kaizen, Lean, and DMAIC methodologies.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 4+ years related experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Green Belt certification highly desired; SPC knowledge encouraged.
• SPC and continuous improvement; aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong drafting skills using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop manufacturing processes and workflow.
• Plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Develop and update production processes with documentation and approvals.
• Interface with vendors/customers on specs and equipment purchases.
• Coordinate manufacturing launch of new/revised products.
• Write process control and quality procedures; review drawings for improvements.
• Participate in quality tools (5S, Kaizen, Lean, Six-Sigma) to reduce variation.
• Cost reduction through product/process analysis and efficiency gains.
• Develop BOO, BOM, and parts cost; tool design with CAD tools.
• Travel to customer facilities as needed; support cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and corporate safety rules.
