Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston, Inc seeks a Process Engineer to join its Manufacturing Engineering team in Kinston, NC. The role focuses on optimizing industrial processes, building an Integrated Manufacturing Dossier, and supporting ramp-up activities for plant programs.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/ aerospace engineering background, 3+ years in aviation or manufacturing, and strong knowledge of SAP/MES and office suites. Onsite work with cross-functional collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• 3+ years of experience in aviation and/or manufacturing.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite products.
• Knowledge of SAP transactions.

Responsibilities

• Process optimization of industrial system methods and products to support production teams.
• Create and maintain an Integrated Manufacturing Dossier from the Definition Dossier, including Standard Operating Instructions.
• Produce detailed optimized processes with appropriate STV calculations.
• Determine and record Process Efficiency by assessing Value Added Time vs Non-Value Added Time.
• Produce PERT/GANTT diagrams to determine industrial impacts for Engineering teams.
• Contribute to the definition of the Kinston Plant industrial system and line balancing.
