Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop work instructions for safe and efficient assembly of Honda Power Sports equipment, using analytical tools and hands-on expertise to maximize line efficiency.

The role requires reading technical drawings, implementing lean methods, and supporting New Model events. Occasional travel and weekend availability may be needed to meet schedules and production goals.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required or equivalent.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and process data development.

Responsibilities

Use MOST to develop balanced processes across manufacturing area and achieve high efficiency.
Audit existing processes for accuracy and efficiency.
Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency using 5S and workstation design.
Support New Model events and forecast design impact to department.
Conduct studies to determine efficient operation sequences for facilities and personnel.
Train others on process changes for New Model and department trainers.
Collect and evaluate associate feedback to improve manufacturing capability.
Read parts drawings and 3D Catia data to forecast design impact and update processes.
Evaluate ergonomic and safety countermeasures to prevent injuries.
Assist in developing tools, jigs, fixtures for process needs.
Provide project support affecting assembly departments.
