Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and optimize work instructions for safe, efficient assembly of Honda Power Sports equipment. You will apply analytical tools and hands-on expertise to maximize production line performance.

Responsibilities include using MOST to balance processes, applying lean methods, and reading technical drawings. Occasional travel and flexible hours are required to support mass production and New Model events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0–6 years of experience; additional years may be required based on education.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends on short notice.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; knowledge of PDDA and MOST; familiarity with assembly quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Use MOST to develop balanced processes across manufacturing area to achieve high efficiency and SQCDM targets.
• Audit existing processes to confirm accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency using 5S, workstation design, and best practices.
• Support New Model events; forecast design impact and incorporate change points into process design.
• Read parts drawings, specifications, and 3D Catia data to forecast design change impact and perform process design updates.
• Train the Trainer to convey process changes to department trainers.
• Collect and evaluate associate feedback to improve manufacturing capability and efficiency.
• Project support for all items impacting assembly department processes.
