Job summary

Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to manage the technical aspects of the plant, including troubleshooting, process control, and process improvement. The successful applicant will create and maintain a stable, reliable manufacturing process through data analysis and engineering practices.

A strong background in engineering, project management, lean manufacturing principles, and process reliability in manufacturing is desired.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Engineering Management.
• 3-5 years in a medium to large-scale chemical manufacturing facility.
• Background in process safety management.
• Experience designing equipment, plant and processes and managing capital projects.
• Experience transitioning development projects from lab to manufacturing.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and practical application.
• 3D modeling and PLC experience (Allen-Bradley).
• Basic programming language knowledge.
• Data mining, analysis and statistics when appropriate.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project; D365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operators to develop SOPs and participate in incident reviews.
• Recommend improvements to equipment and processes for safety, quality, production and cost goals.
• Provide facilities engineering to maintain and upgrade the plant.
• Plan and direct modifications of equipment and facilities.
• Apply engineering standards and maintain the facility accordingly.
• Interact with R&D to identify development activities for manufacturing improvements.
• Support design activities with economic analyses.
• Use statistics and SPC to confirm operations, capability, reliability and quality.
• Conduct audits and inspections to drive production improvements.
• Support lean principles to reduce waste and increase uptime.
• Coordinate PMs and major shutdowns, including contracts and materials.
