Job summary

Kelly Engineering in Columbus, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a direct-hire position. The role focuses on hands-on support and improvement of manufacturing processes, documenting and enforcing efficient procedures while advancing safety, quality, cost efficiency, and equipment reliability.

The successful candidate will contribute to Lean initiatives, SOP development, and standard work for machine and process controls within a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated lean problem-solving ability and continuous improvement implementations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing departments regarding machinery performance.
• Identify and implement manufacturing process changes to support continuous and productivity improvements.
• Review project work from maintenance, automation technicians, and external contractors.
• Perform root cause analyses to determine causes of line defects and drive improvement in line yields.
• Support Lean Manufacturing efforts, including SOPs, 5S, and standard work for machine controls.
