Kelly Engineering in Columbus, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a direct-hire position. The successful candidate will contribute to Lean initiatives, SOP development, and standard work for machine and process controls within a fast-paced production environment.
Kelly Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a direct hire position with an industry leader experience dynamic growth in the Columbus, OH area.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for hands‑on support and improvement of manufacturing processes. This role focuses on documenting, implementing, and maintaining efficient procedures, while driving safety, quality, cost efficiency, continuous improvement, and equipment reliability throughout the facility.
Provide technical assistance to all manufacturing departments regarding the quality and/or performance of machinery, tooling, fixtures and gauges
Identifies and implements manufacturing process changes in support of the plant’s continuous improvement and productivity improvement objectives.
Reviews project work from maintenance, automation/autoload technicians, and external contractors
Performs root cause analyses to determine causes of line defects and engages the appropriate organization to drive improvement in line yields.
Support and execute Lean Manufacturing efforts, i.e. develop SOP, TWI, and standard work for machine and process controls, RIE actions, 5S methodologies.
Manage and maintain site drawings including plant layouts, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline
Previous experience as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated lean problem-solving ability and continuous improvement implementations
