Job summary

Precision Products Group, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Apple Creek, OH to design, implement, and continuously improve production processes on the plant floor.

This role partners with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance to drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements. The engineer will lead lean initiatives, optimize layouts, and champion SMED, level loading, and continuous improvement using data-driven methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of prior manufacturing improvement experience preferred.
• Proven experience applying lean manufacturing principles, including SMED and level loading.
• Strong understanding of equipment, layouts, and material flow in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate across production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead equipment modernization projects to improve reliability and throughput.
• Ensure safety is foundational in all process changes and drive risk reduction.
• Support ISO/IATF quality requirements and audits with robust engineering records.
• Track productivity gains and monitor OEE, labor efficiency, and throughput.
• Develop project plans and manage ECOs/ECNs with cross-functional teams.
• Research and pilot new manufacturing technologies and tooling.
