Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows for assemblies, equipment installation, and tooling.

You will adapt designs to factory conditions and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with production teams to interpret customer specifications and coordinate changes, supporting planning, procurement, and quality.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes
• Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies
• Understanding of workflow and parts flow through machining, processing and assembly
• Knowledge of statistical control, lean, and continuous improvement methods in manufacturing
• Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written
• Attention to detail; willingness to learn and train others

Responsibilities

• Propose and implement manufacturing processes and workflow layouts based on customer requirements using appropriate software
• Optimize equipment, tooling, and work-bench layouts to meet manufacturing and customer needs
• Interpret customer engineering databases (drawings, specifications, processes)
• Coordinate engineering changes with internal and customer teams and update engineering and MRP databases
• Support production, planning, production control, procurement, and quality in interpreting engineering into work orders
• Support non-conformance rework/repair with manufacturing process recommendations and consult with team members
• Assist planning, production, and programming to implement and optimize machining set-ups and programs
• May occasionally perform special projects; perform other duties as assigned
