Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Process Engineer to develop manufacturing processes and controls, perform data-driven analysis, and lead variability-reduction initiatives on the shop floor. You will audit procedures, revise area work instructions, and drive improvements across tools and equipment through controlled engineering trials.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with management, suppliers, and customers to sustain yields, reduce scrap, and meet production targets.

• Working knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, Process control.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
• Handle high stress with tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes, define controls, and institute effective variability reduction efforts in manufacturing areas.
• Perform daily audits to ensure procedures are being followed on the manufacturing floor.
• Update/revise area procedures to ensure clarity and reduce the opportunity for process variation.
• Perform data analysis to identify and control process excursions.
• Continuously evaluate/improve processes to maintain or improve yields.
• Perform engineering trials to evaluate improvements to processes, tools, and equipment.
• Participates in cost reduction, continuous improvement and NPI teams as needed.
• Drive process and improvement initiatives.
