Westinghouse Electric Company in Newington, NH is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing work instructions across fabrication, machining, assembly, and inspection.

You will collaborate with operations, welding, quality, and engineering to translate drawings and requirements into practical shop-floor methods, support continuous-improvement initiatives, and provide on-the-floor technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Preference for manufacturing exposure in fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and NDT.
• Develop clear, detailed technical instructions, standard work and SOPs.
• Knowledge of lean, value-stream mapping, 5S, root-cause analysis, or mistake-proofing.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Translate operator knowledge into repeatable processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed, step-by-step technical work instructions for manufacturing tasks.
• Translate drawings, specs, contract and quality requirements into shop-floor methods.
• Ensure instructions align with production orders and documentation.
• Observe shop floor and document methods with operators, technicians, inspectors, and engineers.
• Standardize processes to improve safety, quality, repeatability, efficiency and knowledge retention.
• Identify waste, bottlenecks, and error-prone steps; support continuous improvement.
• Define process controls, required tools, setup parameters, inspection points and acceptance criteria.
• Validate instructions through shop-floor trials and training.
• Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
