Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Fabrication B Mechanic to fit and lay out cylinders, cones, and developed lengths from drawings. You will read production orders and achieve welding qualifications under ASME acceptance criteria.

The role is onsite at Newington, NH, with potential 2nd or 3rd shift. Candidates should be able to lift and maneuver heavy components on a manufacturing shop floor and understand welding processes and QA manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of fabrication experience or at least one year of operational experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings, weld symbols, welding procedures and dimensional requirements.
• Experience reading blueprints, sketches or building plans.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fit metal components per blueprints and drawings.
• Grind welds per specifications and prepare interior surfaces.
• Set up and monitor automated welding of interior/exterior seams on large components.
• Deburr edges and machined surfaces with small powered hand tools.
• Attach identification labels and prepare packaging for shipment.
