Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer III, you will develop new manufacturing processes supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific's global SUD manufacturing sites. Your responsibilities include ensuring process quality, safety, and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specify and develop new manufacturing processes and improve existing ones to enhance productivity, capacity, and efficiency.
  • Lead complex projects, support process scale-up, and act as a technical expert across teams.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in your work.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical/Engineering with at least 5 years of applicable experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.

Preferred Certifications and Experience

  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or equivalent
  • Training in GMP, ISO 13485, or FDA QSR
  • Experience with process specification (URS) and qualification (FAT/PV)
  • Leading technical engineering projects in process design and development
  • Experience working with multifunctional teams and project delivery
  • Expertise in experimentation (DOE), risk assessment (FMEA), process reliability (SPC, Cpk, MSA), and statistical analysis
  • Experience in designing automated processes for high-mix/low-volume production
  • Knowledge of international standards (ISO, CE, FDA)

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office and MiniTab or similar tools
  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process capability metrics
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and results-driven approach
