Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Level III for a Contract job with a client in Mason, OH. You will prepare mechanical layouts and equipment selections using CAD tools and support on-site commissioning to ensure proper equipment distribution and process flow.

Rate Range: $38/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mechanical Engineer Level III job responsibilities include:

• Prepare mechanical layouts and equipment distribution plans using 2D/3D CAD tools in alignment with project specifications.

• Select materials and define product configurations, including bill of materials, for medium to high complexity projects.

• Support on-site commissioning by ensuring proper equipment placement and process flow within facilities.

• Follow project plans and schedules, delivering assignments on time and within budget.

• Apply standard design practices and tools and contribute to continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, supporting customer requests and participating in project reviews.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 8 years of industrial experience.

• Proficiency in preparing mechanical layouts and equipment distribution using 2D/3D CAD tools.

• Experience supporting on-site commissioning and applying standard design practices in medium to high complexity projects.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
