Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is hiring a manufacturing engineer to plan assembly, sequencing, and system integration for delivery operations, providing direct floor support to technicians during build and test.

You will collaborate across production operations, quality, systems and test engineering to implement Lean Six Sigma improvements, review producibility, and identify technology insertions to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required to apply.
• Active Secret security clearance within last 5 years.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance prior to start and program access within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Work manufacturing assembly, sequencing, and system integration plans for delivery operations.
• Provide direct floor support to technicians during build and testing.
• Collaborate with production operations, quality engineering, systems engineering and test engineering to discover and implement process improvements.
• Utilize lean six sigma toolsets to identify root causes and develop corrective action plans.
• Review design packages for producibility and turn them into 3D graphical work instructions.
• Identify opportunities for technology insertions that drive efficiency into the build process.
