Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support and improve manufacturing processes in Bowling Green, KY. The role drives operational excellence, implements automation, and leads cost-reduction initiatives across value streams.

The position requires a BS/BA in engineering and at least 3 years in manufacturing engineering, with PLC familiarity and Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• BS/BSET in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Familiarity with PLC controls a plus (Allen-Bradley and Siemens).

Responsibilities

• Provide process improvements and daily manufacturing engineering support for Reman and/or OE production cells.
• Lead and train manufacturing cells in a High Performance Work Team environment.
• Present project concepts and costs to the Engineering Manager.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives and timely capital equipment projects.
• Assist in plant layout, design, and installation of capital equipment.
• Launch new products and processes meeting delivery schedules and cost targets.
• Support Product Safety Management and comply with Quality Procedure Q-01-002.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Engineering and Maintenance teams.
