Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in engineering or technical discipline with 3+ years First Solar experience, or 6+ years manufacturing work experience.
• Bachelor’s/Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in engineering with no experience required; experience preferred.
• Alternative: 3+ years as First Solar Maintenance Technician III, MET III, EPT III or Equipment Coordinator III; Journeyman + 5+ years; or 10+ years as a senior technician.
• Understands and can apply DOE, SPC, DMAIC; good communication; ability to write manufacturing documentation

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify new process equipment.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues on the production line.
• Identify and implement system improvements to improve throughput, yield and product performance.
• Design and execute planned process experiments; collect/analyze data; report results.
• Develop and maintain process control plans and standard operating procedures.
• Develop and maintain drawings/process specs; train engineering technicians/production staff.
