Job summary

First Solar seeks a Manufacturing Engineering professional to lead cross-site process development and optimization. You will define equipment and process requirements, install and qualify new tools, and mentor sustaining teams to meet throughput and yield targets.

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of deposition, thermals, metrology, and DOE, with demonstrated problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher with relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with several years in manufacturing.
• MS/PhD preferred for advanced research roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and document robust semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Work with Development and Manufacturing Engineering teams across sites.
• Lead trials, collect data, and report results.
• Install and qualify new equipment; define process specs.
• Champion Six Sigma and other statistical methods.
