Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a hands-on role at a state-of-the-art production facility that makes architectural wood doors.

You will report to the Automation Engineering Manager and collaborate with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering to solve on-floor problems. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing engineering in a custom assembly

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing problem solving to improve day-to-day operations.
• Strong process improvement skills to meet KPIs.
• Ability to develop practical solutions and sustain improvements.
• On-floor presence, collaborating with operators and leadership to resolve issues.
• Experience coordinating design, development and validation of processes.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to help improve the day-to-day performance of manufacturing operations while working closely with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Strong process improvement skills that help meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions, and ensure improvements are successfully implemented and sustained.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and work directly with operators, supervisors, and department leadership to understand and resolve day-to-day process issues.
• Coordinate efforts to plan, design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements to existing processes.
