Job description

What you will do

The Manufacturing & Controls Engineer participates as a team member in small and large projects within the Manufacturing Facility. The Engineer provides mechanical, electrical, and system design deliverables for assigned projects.

The Engineer develops process specification changes, creates and updates Operator and Maintenance Work instructions for assembly processes and equipment. Updates to Assembly Process Flow Charts and PFEMA documentation are also part of the responsibilities. The Engineer will be developed to become a competent SME (Subject Matter Expert) for assigned Assembly Equipment and Processes.

How you will do it

• Participate in cross-functional team assignments to develop changes to existing equipment.
• Function as a Project Lead in smaller development projects impacting business objectives.
• Provide technical support for plant operations, including maintenance, capital projects, and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Prepare project review materials for team members, supervisors, managers, and leadership on a regular basis.
• Implement process changes on existing equipment and assist with the development and installation of new production equipment.
• Collaborate with Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance departments to ensure compliance with all standards.
• Communicate with manufacturing employees to align project goals and address barriers to production.
• Develop equipment functional statements and acceptance test plans.
• Travel to supplier sites for equipment qualification and testing evaluations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

What we look for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in designing pneumatic and hydraulic systems and interpreting related schematics.
• Ability to access and modify machine PLC code using RSLogix/Studio 5000 (Allen Bradley).
• Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Beneficial skills include Minitab and Six Sigma methodologies.
