Job summary

First Solar is seeking a qualified professional to support finishing manufacturing engineering. Key duties include installing and qualifying new equipment, addressing production issues, maintaining gauges, and executing DOE- and SPC-driven experiments.

Strong data analysis and communication skills are essential. The role may require domestic and international travel and reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering – Finishing.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience criteria to qualify: technical degree with experience or extensive tech work.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is acceptable with required years.
• Certifications may substitute for degree requirements with mentorship and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Install and qualify new equipment on the production line.
• Maintain gauges and process controls.
• Design and execute planned process experiments; collect/analyze data and report results.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
