Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Manufacturing Process Engineers to support Final Assembly in Linthicum, MD. The role covers factory support, process development, and engineering collaboration to improve manufacturability and efficiency.

Qualified candidates will hold a engineering degree with 2+ years of experience, or a STEM master’s, and have hands-on electronics assembly skills, CAD proficiency, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field and 2+ years in manufacturing/process engineering, or a Master’s in STEM.
• Hands-on experience with electronics assembly processes and equipment (epoxy dispensing, curing, conformal coating, soldering, inspection).
• 3D CAD modeling experience with a CAD software; ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Factory Support: monitor process performance, drive improvements, and collaborate with teams using lean/CI tools.
• Process Development: develop and optimize manufacturing processes, specify equipment, and document tooling.
• Design & Engineering Support: perform producibility reviews and apply DTC/DFM/ DFA concepts.
• Miscellaneous: provide supplier support, RFP inputs, and occasional travel to suppliers/customers.
