IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. in Roswell, GA, seeks a Process Engineer in Manufacturing Process Development to design, scale, and optimize production processes that support IDEXX diagnostics and related products.

You will collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to translate designs into robust, compliant processes. You’ll gain hands-on experience with process validation, technology transfer, and continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma methods,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Problem-solving: identify issues, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and implement solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including clear SOPs and work instructions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects to completion.
• Work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret ISO 9000 standards, specifications, procedures.
• Familiar with design verification/validation and change management procedures.
• Understand manufacturing process documentation and update it as needed.
• Knowledge of ISO, GMP, quality audits, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other engineering software.
• Ability to recognize film coating improvement opportunities (foil production) to improve profitability.
• Some working knowledge of SAP is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design and run process development studies to improve capability, robustness, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and refine processes with internal teams and suppliers.
• Recommend and justify equipment and tooling, then manage its implementation to meet cost, quality, and schedule goals.
• Support process validation and technology transfer with appropriate verification and validation.
• Develop methods for handling and processing materials that meet design, manufacturing, and safety requirements.
• Keep processes ISO compliant by developing specifications for process output and determining test methods.
• Write SOPs and work instructions and train team members on the methods.
• Partner with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and outside vendors to plan and carry out work.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and related improvement projects.
• Learn the technical details of the products you support and become a go-to expert.
• Manage tasks and projects from start to finish with guidance from more experienced engineers.
