Job summary

Blue United Sourcing is partnering with a global manufacturing leader to identify a Manufacturing Controls Engineer for its Garland, Texas facility. This is an opportunity to join an engineering team supporting a large, complex manufacturing operation undergoing significant expansion.

The Controls Engineer will provide hands-on support for day-to-day plant operations while also contributing to capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on industrial plant support experience.
• Formal training or at least 1 year implementing PLCs and/or HMIs.
• Bachelor's degree or higher OR at least four years of engineering experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Utilize PLC and HMI knowledge to optimize plant control and quality systems.
• Provide hands-on controls troubleshooting support for day-to-day manufacturing operations.
• Analyze plant processes and design and implement improvements.
• Troubleshoot hardware, controls, and process-related issues.
• Support the planning and execution of capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve productivity.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
• Identify training needs and develop training materials and SOPs.
• Communicate obstacles that may prevent production requirements from being achieved.
