Job summary
Blue United Sourcing LLC in Garland, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer (Level 1) to provide hands-on controls support and lead capital projects within a large, expanding manufacturing operation. You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems and collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
This full-time, on-site role requires a bachelor’s degree (or 4+ years in engineering) and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Must have hands-on experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
- Formal training or experience implementing PLCs and HMIs.
- Experience supporting industrial plant operations and troubleshooting controls.
Responsibilities
- Utilize PLC and HMI knowledge to optimize plant control and quality systems.
- Provide hands-on controls and troubleshooting support for day-to-day operations.
- Analyze processes and design/implement improvements.
- Troubleshoot hardware, controls, and process-related issues.
- Support planning and execution of capital projects and CI initiatives.
- Optimize processes to reduce costs and cycle times.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
- Identify training needs and develop SOPs for CI methods.
- Communicate obstacles hindering production goals.
- Recommend process improvements and capital expenditures as appropriate.
- Support small project teams through design, construction, and commissioning.
- Maintain established quality and safety standards.
