Job description

Raytheon's Engineering Rapid Build Services (ERBS) department is seeking a Manufacturing Planner II to manage and lead the acquisition and manufacturing of Test Equipment in Tucson, Arizona. The position requires an active U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) and U.S. citizenship. The workplace is onsite in Tucson, Arizona. The hiring process may require in‑person interview steps.

Responsibilities
  • Actively contribute to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of complex test equipment including cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews.
  • Manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records.
  • Acquire, track, and manage material from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets.
  • Assist in resolving manufacturing issues and oversee delivery of final products to internal and external customers.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience interpreting engineering drawings related to electrical instrumentation, assemblies, cables, chassis, and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment.
  • Experience with material procurement.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Previous experience working with test equipment or prototype engineering hardware.
  • Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings.
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with the design, use, and fabrication of electrical instrumentation.
  • Experience dealing with supply chain and material obsolescence issues.
