Job Description – Automobile Manual Painter - Ventra Kansas

Department: Operations – Paint

Reports to: Shift Superintendent

Summary: The Painter ensures timely, consistent, and high-quality painting of all parts according to specifications. Responsibilities include handling parts carefully, following detailed specs, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety and equipment standards.

Training Requirements:

• Forklift Training
• Knowledge of Government Laws & Regulations

Job Duties:

• Paint various automobile parts
• Swap out drums (45–55 gallons) as needed
• Detect defects efficiently
• Set up, tear down, and clean booths, sprayers, and lines
• Communicate with Shift Supervisor
• Meet production goals within timelines

Requirements:

• 2+ years of painting experience
• Knowledge of hand sprayers and systems
• Ability to pass a color test
• Preferred: 2 years forklift experience and certification
• Knowledge of paint specifics such as consistency, temperatures, and coat thickness
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs in a team lift

Working Conditions:

• Availability for mandatory overtime (up to 12 hours)
• Exposure to manufacturing hazards (loud machinery, fumes)
• Manual dexterity for handling equipment and triggers
• Ambient environment with temperature variations
• Physically demanding tasks (standing, stooping, bending)
• Use of PPE (respirators, suits, gloves, safety glasses, shoes)
