Shuttlewagon, a leader in mobile material handling machinery for rail-related markets, is seeking a talented Industrial Painter to join our team. Our commitment to engineering excellence ensures that our custom-built machinery meets the highest industry standards.



Position Overview:


As an Industrial Painter, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to paint fabricated parts, components, and units at designated floor stations. Your expertise in using mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assembly techniques and your proficiency in welding and electrical wiring will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality products.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and other diagrams to accurately paint parts and equipment.

  • Utilize hand and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.

  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure compliance with established tolerances and product specifications.

  • Identify and repair units that do not meet quality standards.

  • Mentor and assist less experienced team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.

  • Maintain high productivity and quality while adhering to safety and work regulations.



Qualifications:



  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Experience: 3- 5+ years of experience in a custom-build shop is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and 3D prints/schematics, ability to operate a computer for data input and reading, skilled in using hand tools and painting equipment.



Physical Demands:



  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend, reach, and climb.

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

  • The work environment includes exposure to varying temperatures and occasional manufacturing fumes or byproducts. Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as steel-toe boots and safety glasses, is required.
