Overview

Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Pay: $31,220 - $38,160 per year

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filters; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate, and balance tires; check and fill various fluids; check and replace filters and lights
• Unload tires and other merchandise from trucks and deliveries
• Inspect disposed tires, store or dispose of tires properly
• Clean facilities, tools, and equipment; stock shelves
• Greet and thank customers courteously; provide fast and friendly service
• Explain benefits of services and products; promote sales; perform sales duties including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, vendor check-in, and stocking
• Maintain store appearance according to standards
• Safely operate customer vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions
• Complete required training timely
• Follow work schedule and clocking procedures
• Report maintenance or issues to supervisor
• Assist in training new employees
• Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to company policies

Job Requirements

• At least 17 years old (with parental consent)
• Ability to learn technical concepts and operate office machinery
• Ability to operate vehicles safely
• Effective communication skills
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials and outdoor conditions
• Compliance with PPE regulations
• Good sensory abilities and physical capability to handle up to 75 pounds
• Availability for holidays, weekends, and after-hours
• English proficiency
• Successful pre-employment screening and legal work authorization

Note: Must obtain Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months if applicable in Missouri.
