Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Engineer / Supervisor for a 3rd shift role (Sun 8PM – Fri 8AM) at our automotive lighting production lines. You will lead production teams, optimize assembly processes, and drive first-time-right manufacturing with a strong focus on ergonomics, efficiency, and lean practices.

You will act as SME for assigned lines, develop work instructions, manage training, and ensure SQCDM targets and MPS alignment while fostering a safe, collaborative work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; experience may substitute
• Experience with PFMEAs, Lean Manufacturing (VPS) and time-measurement methodologies
• Proven ability to manage diverse teams and drive accountability

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops to reduce costs, cycle times, and scrap on existing lines.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability within constraints.
• Create and manage work instructions, PFMEAs, and Kaizen/LLC cards.
• Act as SME for assigned lines to pilot improvements and support new equipment integration.
• Apply advanced quality measures to ensure first-time-right parts for customers.
