Job summary

GAF's Chester facility is seeking entry-level manufacturing operators to train across multiple positions and support operations. You will become proficient in loaders and material handling, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The role involves observing procedures, maintaining records, and contributing to a strong, collaborative work environment in a facility known for its community focus and long-tenured staff.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret measurements.

Responsibilities

• Train and become proficient in multiple operating positions (Loader, Fiber Feeder, Rewinder, Utility, A-Station).
• Participate in housekeeping for assigned crew.
• Assist with logistics and short-stop/down day activities.
• Operate equipment safely and wear protective gear as required.
• Load/unload material using forklift or clamp-truck.
• Maintain accurate operational records and work in a team.
• Other duties as assigned.
