Job summary

Weidmann Electrical Technology is seeking a Night Shift Skilled Manufacturing Operator for our Urbana, OH facility. This full-time, on-site role runs 7pm–7am and involves machine setup, troubleshooting, quality inspections, and collaboration with team members to keep production moving.

You will document production data, observe machines for faults, and may participate in overtime or cross-training opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic reading, arithmetic and geometry skills required.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment (ruler, tape, caliper, micrometer).
• Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision in a team environment.
• Physical requirement: lift 50–100 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up machine(s) per customer/order specification (make-to-order products).
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine controls and components.
• Communicate with other departments to request raw materials and supplies to eliminate downtime.
• Document and explain production data according to procedures.
• Observe machine operation to detect and correct malfunctions.
• Perform quality inspections.
• Other duties may be required.

The role...

You will provide a full range of manufacturing support at our Urbana, OH facility. Duties include but are not limited to: General machine set-up and troubleshooting, utilizing safe operating procedures, and collaboration with team members throughout the facility.

Overtime: May be required depending on machine / area, volunteer opportunities, cross training opportunities.

• Physical requirements - lift and manipulate unwieldy parts weighing between 50 - 100 lbs, depending on the machine and work in a not climate-controlled environment.
