WEIDMANN Electrical Technology, Inc. in Urbana, OH is hiring a Utility Operator for the Paper Machine on a 3-2-2 rotating schedule (7a-7p and 7p-7a). This full-time, on-site role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency in a 24/7 operation.

You will inspect products, operate and monitor equipment, retrieve order specs and SAP data, assist with routine maintenance, and move materials around the mill. Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years manufacturing experience (paper mill preferred).
• Ability to read work instructions and apply them to the job.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment and interpret specs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow personal/machine safety protocols.
• Inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot product quality to meet specifications.
• Retrieve order specs, documentation, and SAP data for production planning.
• Assist in routine machine maintenance and perform periodic checks.
• Move material to and around the paper mill and stock prep areas.

The role…

As a member of the Urbana team, you will be responsible for achieving optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position supports a 24/7 operation working a 3-2-2 schedule rotating 2 weeks 7a-7p then 2 weeks 7p-7a.

How you’ll make an impact…

• Comprehensive understanding of personal and machine-specific safety
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment
• Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot the quality of product and customer/order specifications
• Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from SAP
• Assist in machine maintenance and perform periodic maintenance to the machine
• Move material to and around the paper mill and stock prep area

What do you bring…

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of manufacturing experience (paper mill experience preferred)
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
• Ability to read work instructions and apply them to the job
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Ability to train others and willingness to cross-train
