Manufacturing Operator I

Greendale is one of Catalent’s gummy technology development and manufacturing facilities in North America. The site produces organic and vegan-based nutraceuticals via confection to promote wellness. We offer a broad range of formulation and analytical services to address complex development and manufacturing challenges.

The Operator I will efficiently operate and coordinate daily Mogul machine activities according to the production schedule. Responsibilities include minor troubleshooting, resource management for assembly and operations, and communication of issues to supervisors or mechanics. The role aims to maximize production and product uniformity. Working hours are Friday - Sunday, 6AM - 6PM.

The Role
  • Assist in Mogul machine setup, including mold board, nozzle plate, piston bar, and other tasks as per the manual.
  • Monitor and maintain product uniformity deposited into starch trays.
  • Prevent starch buildup on the mold board.
  • Visually inspect mold impressions for quality.
  • Ensure consistent board weight; document confirmation.
  • Respond promptly to minor machine malfunctions and notify maintenance as needed.
  • Handle minor equipment jams and breakdowns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 month of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and write routine reports; effective communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds frequently, and up to 1000 pounds occasionally.
  • Physical stamina to stand, handle, reach, climb, or balance; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
